Oranje Transport BV launches first 100% electric truck!

Pijnacker, October 17, 2025 – Oranje Transport BV is launching its first 100% electric truck, taking an important next step in the company’s continued sustainability efforts. With this step, Oranje Transport BV is also making a significant contribution to cleaner urban logistics: lower CO2 emissions and cleaner city centers. Their largest customer, BOLIA, attended the festive launch.

 

Creating Zero Emission Zones in Dutch cities is a goal from the Urban Logistics Implementation Agenda, jointly developed by Dutch municipalities, the transport sector, the Nature & Environment Foundation, and the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water. This will help the Netherlands achieve climate neutrality by 2050, as agreed upon by all EU member states in the climate agreement.

Sera Yeramian, director of Oranje Transport BV: “This is quite a challenge for transport companies. Transitioning to an electric fleet requires a substantial investment and a good charging infrastructure. It’s also important that the electric trucks have sufficient capacity and reach. It’s a good thing the Dutch government is giving transport companies like us the time to make this transition. We currently have a modern fleet of exclusively Euro 6-emission trucks. We’ve been following developments in electric trucks for years and we are pleased to now see models that meet our requirements. Today, we proudly introduce our first electric truck: a Renault E-Tech Master. It’s a truck with a large capacity and range, making it ideal for our needs. We’ve created a special edition by wrapping this truck in fresh green and adding a sustainable touch to our signature lion.

Oranje Transport is working on sustainability on several fronts. We have a completely gas-free warehouse and another warehouse powered entirely by solar panels. We specialize in white-glove furniture deliveries. All packaging materials we take back after a delivery are fully separated and recycled.

Our customers also value sustainability a lot. Many of our clients, furniture brands, have their own sustainability goals, work with certified sustainable materials, and produce furniture designed to last a lifetime.
